Meet the People
There
are some real people behind the Royal Selangor Flying Club trying to bring you
a flying environment that is the envy of other flying Clubs in Malaysia. To
help you recognise these folks we will be putting up a gallery over the
next few months highlighting the Members of the General Committee, the
Flying Sub-Committee and the Management Office Staff.

Club
Captain
Col
(R) Zakaria bin Salleh
Col
Zak has the dual role of Club Captain and Chief Flying Instructor (CFI). He
has many thousands of hours on single and multi-engine piston and jet
powered aircraft, during his military career with the Royal Malaysian Air
Force he flew A4 Skyhawks, BAe Hawks and F5 fighter and reconnaissance
aircraft. His civilian seat is now Pilot and Commander of a Bombardier
Challenger 300 which takes him to the USA, UK and Europe, the Middle East
and most of Asia and the Pacific Rim. Yet he still has time to lead a very
strong team of instructors in a culture of safety and competence. Students
achieving their Private Pilot Licence at Royal Selangor Flying Club can be
assured they are receiving the very best of training from Col Zak and his
team.
